I was notified that a process server in Prescott, Arizona was shot when he left a summons taped to a residence door. He was walking back to his vehicle when he was shot by a man who walked out of the residence and shot the man. The shooter is now charged with attempted second-degree murder and additional charges of aggravated assault and three counts of firing a weapon in city limits. This is what not to do when served process. This brings me to a saying which we all know and should abide by “don’t shoot the messenger.”
